Lots of Baby News!

No, no, no.....not with us just people we know. We have been blessed by so many people around us having babies, going to have babies and trying to have babies. Just today Josh and Meggan Brumbaugh found out they will be having a girl and Trevor and Audra Jacobs are having a boy. Two friends just had babies two weeks ago. Bri and Jake Drlich had a baby boy named Samson (super cute) and Mandy and Andy Kinnucan had baby Violet. We've also been really lucky to have some great visits with some other babies and kids. Here are just a few pics from the last few months.

Ed and Kelsea Vick ejoying St. Patty's Day(Suzanne and Kerry's little girl). She's already our little party girl:)

Beautiful Baby Sadie Armstrong - I babysit her one Saturday and this is what she did the WHOLE time. I should be grateful but I really just wanted her to wake up so I could play with her!

Sweet little Aspen (a.k.a. Aspy, Asperella) Berry. She just keeps getting cuter!

Cute Lauryl Sullivan - She was such a ham at the BBQ this past weekend. I can't wait to hangout with her again!

Ryan Sullivan being taught to drink the good stuff early. Soooo adorable!

Sweetheart Isaiah Mendez. He was so shy at the BBQ that we will have to break him out of his shell.

As you can see....lots and lots of kiddos which is so fun. This doesn't even include the eight thousand kids in the neighborhood. That will be for another post:)

Half Glass Full or Half Glass Empty?

So, which one are you? Ed and I frequently have this conversation. Ed's glass is easily half full in all situations of life. This is such a wonderful quality but one that I have a hard time with because I'm naturally half glass empty. I'm jealous that he can so easily turn things into a positive and continually look on the bright side of life. With Ed's help I'm trying to fill my glass on the top half not always on the bottom half. Doesn't sound like a big deal to many but in my life it seems to be. I instantly think "why me" or the simple fact that I just want more out of a situation. So, I'm trying to get some perspective in my life and look to the other side.

Some of you know the story about my car radio but I had to change the battery and Honda makes you have security code that you punch into the radio for it to work again. Well, since I bought my car at a jenkie place I don't know my code. After lots of attempts at car dealership and other things I still have no code after two months. Well, I could easily pay $40 for them to pull my radio out and get the code from the back. Couple reason I'm not going to do this...One, I'm really cheap and two, I've actually begun to appreciate the silence. Just some simple thinking in the morning to ponder life.

Are you wondering why I told you a story you've probably already heard? Well, I really think that taking certain "noise" out of your life can help you simplify things that may cause you to get caught up in the craziness of life. This personally is helping me keep my glass half full! Crazy, I know. This will always be an on going process for me but hopefully we can all toast to many full glasses of the good stuff as we go through life together!

I Love Our House!

Okay, so I bet you didn't think that I would actually make a post two days in a row! Well, I proved you wrong:)

So, all day long I thought about what I was going to blog about. Well, maybe not all day. I pretty much decided the topic on the way home from a work meeting tonight. I figured since not all of you have seen our house I would share some pics with you!

This is our house! I literally say at least once a day that "I love our house"!

Our backyard is just one of the many things that make it great! So to end this post...anyone is invited to Indy to hang out with us and get a closer look!

How old is too old to get your ears pierced?

Okay, I know it's been a while. I will copy something the Buckles did on their blog and blog 5 days in a row (I know they did 10 days but I will be gone next weekend on a date and not with my husband).

So, I really didn't just get my ears pierced but for many of you that know me know that I don't really wear a lot of jewelry. Okay, I don't wear any at all. Well, there are just certain occasions (typically weddings) that I would love to put on a pair of earrings for but my ears are just a little too closed up and when I force them through they end up being a bright shade of red. So, I decided that I would re-pierce them myself and wear them like you have to wear "studs" when you first get your ear pierced. I’m not really sure when I finally decided to do this but I do love the reaction when I told Ed that I was going to do this. He loves it when I start my sentence with, Okay, you are totally going to think I’m dumb but I’m going to ……. I do this a lot and it’s always topics of randomness. He loves it!

Back to the ears, I even stopped by Claire's to buy some of their special potion that magically heals your ears. I know that I totally could have just gone and bought rubbing alcohol but that isn't as much fun! I wanted to do a little throw back to Claire’s. Buy the way some of those earrings/stuff in there is hideous.

So, are some of you wondering if I passed out when I re-pierced my ears? Are others of you wondering why I would be asking this questions? Well, the very first time I truly got my ears pierced I totally almost passed out. Yep, got sweaty, pale and was totally out of reality. The ladies at the beauty shop that did it didn't know what to do. And, can you believe this is when they only did one ear at a time. Yep, it was and I was a mess. For some reason my body just reacts weird to things like this. I almost passed out when I got my tattoo too. It's not that I think it hurts at all but my body just doesn't react well to certain things I guess. Maybe it's similar too when I almost pass out giving blood and getting IV's. It's going to be interesting when we have babies. I'll be passing out left and right from stuff. Good times. I think the best was when I actually passed out trying to get an IV when I was in the ER for my appendix. I totally passed out and then woke up to the sheet soaked in my blood and the nurse didn't even get the IV in my arm. Okay, I totally digress from my ear piercing. So, hopefully the next time you see me I will actually be wearing earring and feeling a little girlie!

Talk to you tomorrow! I promise!
